As they kick off the league on a high note with a win over Ness Ziona, achieving their second consecutive win and showing signs of stability, Hapoel will host Hamburg in Smolkov, Bulgaria, tonight (Wednesday) at 20:00 (live broadcast on "Israel Hayom") for the third round of the EuroCup.

In the previous round of the EuroCup, Hapoel faced Lietkabelis in Panev??ys, and thanks to an excellent performance from captain Yuval Zusman, who led a remarkable comeback from a double-digit deficit, they handed the Lithuanians a defeat with a score of 94-74. The game didn’t start well for Hapoel, as they found themselves trailing by 13 points by the end of the first quarter, but Zusman began to shine from beyond the arc with 3/3 from three-point range to lead the comeback. The Lithuanians tried to close the gap, but Jared Harper kept drawing fouls (finishing the game with 16/17 from the free-throw line), maintaining a healthy lead for the reds and was named MVP of the round.

The opposing team, on the other hand, started their EuroCup campaign poorly, suffering two defeats to Burgos and Valencia (with margins of 20 and 25 points, respectively). In their last game, the top scorer for the Germans was Bray Ivey, who scored 19 points in 18:46 minutes of play.
