The Hapoel Jerusalem family has been awarded the President's Award in Sports for 2024 for its valuable, social, and community-oriented activities during the "Iron Swords" war. The Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem club won in the men's basketball category, while Hapoel "Lev" Jerusalem won in the women's category.

The community relations manager of Hapoel, Irit Einav Abramovich, said: "At the outbreak of the war, the club began, amidst the terrible pain and loss, to support the families of the hostages, bereaved families, displaced communities, injured soldiers, reservists, and active soldiers who are an inseparable part of the Hapoel family and community. There is not a single person in the club, whether players, coaching staff, or office staff, who did not give of themselves and their time and contribute to one of the dozens of initiatives we held over the past year. I am proud to be part of a club that has inscribed values, community, and social impact on its banner, and I am pleased that the President's Award Committee also recognized our contribution and the significant value we create for our fan community, choosing to grant us the President's Award this year."

"The pride of the club lies in making a positive impact and creating positive change in the environment and community. We always play for a much bigger purpose than basketball. Community service is woven into the fabric of Hapoel Jerusalem, and we will continue to contribute and support every fan of ours, both during the war and consistently in the future," added the club's CEO, Alon Kremer.
