The first test of Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem started today with a joint practice against Hapoel Tel Aviv. The teams played a preparation game that ended in a tie each quarter. The cup holders appeared with a depleted lineup due to several minor injuries and without Speedy Smith, Nimrod Levi, Chris Johnson, and Jeremy Morgan. Quarter results:
1st Quarter: Hapoel Tel Aviv 27-20
2nd Quarter: Hapoel Tel Aviv 24-18
3rd Quarter: Hapoel Tel Aviv 25-17
4th Quarter: Hapoel Tel Aviv 16-13
From the first quarter, the game pace was high as both teams began to shake off the rust. For Hapoel, it was Or Cornelius who scored 5 points in the quarter.

In the second quarter, the teams started experimenting with lineups, reuniting Jared Harper and Austin Wiley, who provided several powerful dunks. Their prior acquaintance was evident as Wiley scored 7 points in the second quarter.
In the second half, the matchup between Austin Wiley and Jonathan Motley began to show, with both battling under the baskets repeatedly. By the end of the next two quarters, it was the visitors who edged out Hapoel, with each quarter ending closely.
