Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem is pleased to announce the signing of Israeli youth national team guard Rani Belaga (18, 1.97) to a 4-year contract. In the upcoming season, Belga will play for Hapoel Ramat Hasharon as part of the strategic partnership between the two clubs.
Belaga, a product of the Hapoel Emek Hefer youth division, is considered one of the top prospects of the youth national team. In the recent European Championship, Belga averaged 6.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2 steals per game. Notably, he had a standout performance against Serbia, scoring 20 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.
Professional Manager Dan Shamir said: "Rani is a very intriguing prospect whom we have been following even before his successful campaign with the youth national team. I am confident that his time in Ramat Hasharon, under the joint framework established between the two clubs, will significantly contribute to his continued development."
Team coach Yonatan Alon said: "Rani already possesses qualities that make him an excellent player, and his continued development at Ramat Hasharon will enable us to eventually receive a developed, established, and ready player for the levels we are targeting."
