The club "Bank Yahav Hapoel" Jerusalem is pleased to announce a strategic cooperation agreement, the first of its kind, with the basketball club A.S. "Yerek Hasadeh" Ramat Hasharon. At the heart of the agreement is a direct connection between Hapoel and the excellent youth department of the Sharon club and the senior team in the National League. The collaboration will include many points that will bring great mutual benefit to both sides.
As part of the agreement, a direct and close relationship will be established between the senior team of Hapoel Jerusalem and the youth department of Ramat Hasharon, which will provide Hapoel, for the first time, a direct connection to a base of young and promising youth players in the Dan and Sharon region, with the aim of identifying and developing new talents that will become part of the senior team in the future. Additionally, Hapoel will make available to Ramat Hasharon the infrastructure of the new performance department established under the management of top physiologist Guy Gafni and the professional team of the club. Moreover, the senior team of Ramat Hasharon in the National League will serve as a development platform for young talents identified to reach the senior team of Hapoel Jerusalem.
Co-owner of Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem, Gal Mekel, said: "We are happy and excited to join forces with an experienced and successful system like A.S. Ramat Hasharon, composed of highly professional people led by Alon Shafrir and Guy Kantor. The new management of Hapoel Jerusalem has set a goal to nurture and develop players and people, and this cooperation is the first step."
Mekel continued: "The connection with Ramat Hasharon holds enormous benefits for both sides - on the Hapoel side, we will finally be able to compete for talents from the central region and develop them for the benefit of the senior team. On the Ramat Hasharon side, the connection to the strong infrastructure and professional framework we are building at Hapoel will give the youth department and the senior team the optimal tools to grow, develop, and nurture players.
