Parakhouski was born in Minsk, Belarus. He started playing basketball at the age of 15. He is a member of Belarus' national team.

Parakhouski played college basketball for College of Southern Idaho in 2006. Two years later he moved to Radford University, where he played under head coach Brad Greenberg. Parakhouski was named the Big South Player of the Year in each of his two seasons with the Highlanders.

Parakouski went undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft. He played for Boston Celtics in the Orlando Pro Summer League, and then signed with BK VEF Riga of the Latvian League. He won the Latvian Basketball League championship.

In 2011 Parakouski signed with BC Budivelnik of the Ukrainian League, and won the Ukrainian National Cup. In 2012 he signed with Olin Edirne of the Turkish League.

In 2013 Parakouski signed a one-year contract with Hapoel Jerusalem.
