Haifa jumped out to an early 12-6 lead but great play by Jerusalem helped the Reds get back in the game. A Yaniv Green buzzer beater three pointer at the last seconds of the first quarter tied the game 24-24. The second quarter was similar to the first quarter in that both teams were trading baskets. Adam Ariel stood out for Hapoel when he knocked down a three pointer and dished out a beautiful assist to Wright for the dunk. However, Haifa's sharp shooting guard, Dagan Yavzuri, hit five three pointers in the first half. The teams went into halftime tied 44-44. Jerusalem's Smith opened up the third quarter hitting a three pointer, blocking a shot, and dishing out a pass to Eliyahu for an assist. Yet, the Green's responded with a 9-0 run. The score was 67-64 with the visitors ahead going into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter opened with both teams trading baskets. A smith layup tied the game at 77. Unfortunately, though, Yavzuri's outside shooting was too much for Hapoel and Haifa won the game by two with a final score of Haifa 90 and Jerusalem 88. Notably, Jerusalem's Smith scored 30 points in the game.
