Ploiesti was in control of the game throughout the first half. They executed their offense very well and shot a high percentage from the three point line. However, great individual effort by Hapoel's Eliyahu, Wright, Pops and Smith kept Hapoel in the game. At half time, Hapoel was down 45-38 . Ploiesti player Dee Brown put on a shooting show in the second half, knocking down three pointers from all over the court. Wright led Hapoel with an incredible 12-2 run in the fourth quarter that helped bring Hapoel back into the game and ultimately sent the game into overtime. The Romans went on a 5-0 run in overtime but Hapoel responded with great play by Smith and Wright which forced a second overtime. The second overtime opened with back to back three pointers by Wright and Timor but the Romans followed with a 7-0 run. Hapoel came up just short and the Romans won 112-110. Notably, Hapoel player Dante Smith had a triple-double in the game.
