Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem recorded their 8th loss of the Israeli League on Sunday night after losing 69-86 to Maccabi Haifa. The Reds suffered from a short backcourt due to Jermoe Dyson resting and Bar Timor injuring his shoulder in the 2nd quarter and not returning. Haifa took the lead from the begining and looked comfortable until Hapoel showed some signs of coming back as Peterson and Jones jumped off the bench. The 1st half ended with Jerusalem down by 4 points but the bad start to the game happened again at the begining of the 3rd quarter and Haifa never looked back.

Travis Peterson led the team with 14 points, Curtis Jerrells scored 11 points and Tarence Kinsey posted 10 points. Mendes-Valdes was Haifa's top scorer with 17 points.

The road trip for Hapoel continues on Wednesday night at Eilat.
