Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem traveled to Russia to face Lokomotiv Kuban and the result was opposite to the result from the game in Jerusalem with Loko winning 88-68.

This means Hapoel cannot take on the 1st seed in the group but if the reds will win Ulm on Wednesday at Pais Arena next week, they will clinch the 2nd spot.

Hapoel had trouble with Kuban's size in the paint with the Russians winning the rebound challenge with 35 rebounds over 19. While Hapoel managed to bounce back from a slow start in the 1st quarter, they had no answer to Kuban's 15-2 run in the 3rd which gave the locals the win.

Coach Pianigiani said after the result: "Before the game, we knew that it would be tough. Loko is a physically strong team. The game wasn’t important for us in our EuroCup group. The game was important as a test. We started very softly. And when you start to play softly with such a team as Lokomotiv, nothing good happens. "
