Hapoel Lose a Thriller in Tel Aviv

Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem lost 83-85 to Maccabi Tel Aviv

The biggest match of the Israeli basketball league produced another classin on Sunday night but unfortunately Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem lost 83-85 to Maccabi Tel Aviv. Amar'e Stoudemire tied the game with 11 seconds left on the clock but Joe Alexander managed to find the rim at the other side to keep the victory in Tel Aviv.


Hapoel can take many positive things from this loss in order to prepare for Wednesday's important match against Valencia at Pais Arena. Lior Eliyahu led the team with 14 points and 8 rebounds. Stoudemire was active on both sides on the court with 13 points and 4 blocks, Bar Timor provided another impressive game with 12 points and 5 assists and Jerome Dyson posted 13 points and 5 assists.

Tarence Kinsey was out due to injury.

The reds hold a 3-4 record in the league and their next Israeli league match will be on Sunday at Jerusalem against Maccabi Haifa.
