Three New Additions To Hapoel

Marcelo Nicola, Travis Peterson and Isaac Rosefelt joining Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem

Over the weekend, three new faces added to the Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem family. On this sidelines, Marcelo Nicola will join the coaching staff and on the front court Travis Peterson and Isaac Rosefelt will wear Hapoel's red for the 1st in their career.

The Argentinian, Marcelo Nicola, will serve as Simone Pianigiani assistant coach. Nicola who had an impressive career in the Euroleague told us: "I'm looking forward to the challenges we will face. Hapoel Jerusalem is a growing club and I'm very happy to be in this project. I've heard a lot about the fans and the combination of their passion and the experience of head coach Pianigiani, we can reach the high goals in the local and European scene".

Travis Peterson arrives to Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem after an impressive season in the Eurocup with Saratov (Russia). The F/C led the last 32 round in points and index rating, and overall he presented a 18.1 points per game, 41.2% from deep and 6.6 rebounds per game. After signing in Jerusalem, Peterson said: "I'm very happy to join Hapoel. The fact I experienced this great crowd last season and the unique atmosphere in the arena made this decision very easy. I'm looking forward for the begining of the season, we have many goals and we will do our best to reach them".

Coach Pianigiani added: "Travis is the ultimate 'stretch-four'. He brings with him excellent shooting and good presence underneath the baskets. I'm sure he will effect the team".

Isaac Rosefelt joins Hapoel "Bank Yahav" Jerusalem after spending the last seven seasons in Israel with five different teams. He scored 10 points per game last season, grabbed 7 rebounds per game and finished the Israeli Players Index Rating in the 6th position. "I'm very excited to join Hapoel Jerusalem and play for coach Simone Pianigiani" said Rosefelt after signing his two-year contract and added: "I think the high tempo game suits my energies. I can't to see all the Jerusalem fans and be part of the red family".

Coach Pianigiani congratulated Rosefelt for joining the team and mentioned that his exprience in the local scence and his defensive attitude will help the team.
